Rudolph the red nose reindeer:
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer (Reindeer)
had a very shiny nose. (Like a light bulb)
And if you ever saw it, (Saw it)
you would even say it glows. (very Bright Now!)
All of the other reindeer (Reindeer)
used to laugh and call him names. (Like pinocio)
They never let poor Rudolph (Rudolph)
join in any reindeer games. (Like rugby)
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say: (Ho, Ho, Ho)
“Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”
Then all the reindeer loved him (Loved him)
as they shouted out with glee, (yippee)
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, (Reindeer)
you’ll go down in history! ( like Micheal Jackson!!)
I saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus:
Christmas toys all over the place
Little Johnny wears a funny smile on his face
Johnny has a secret and a secret he must share
He wants to tell somebody, so he tells his teddy bear!
I saw Mommy kissing ( Kissing, Kissing) Santa Claus
Underneath the mistletoe last night
Well, she didn’t see me creep
Down the stairs to have a peek
She though that I was tucked up in
my bedroom fast asleep
Then I saw Mommy tickle (Tickle, Tickle) Santa Claus
Underneath his beard so snowy white
What a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Glad tidings we bring to you and your kin
We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!!
Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Don we now our gay apparel,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
See the blazing Yule before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Follow me in merry measure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
While I tell of Yule tide treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
and many others. Please leave a comment and tell me your favourite Christmas carols.

Jingle Bells:
Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O’er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
A day or two ago
I thought I’d take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated by my side
The horse was lean and lank
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a drifted bank
And then we got upsot
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh yeah
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

Snoopys Christmas!:
The news had come out in the First World War
The bloody Red Baron was flying once more
The Allied command ignored all of its men
And called on Snoopy to do it again.
Was the night before Christmas, 40 below
When Snoopy went up in search of his foe
He spied the Red Baron, fiercely they fought
With ice on his wings Snoopy knew he was caught.
Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ring out from the land
Asking peace of all the world
And good will to man
The Baron had Snoopy dead in his sights
He reached for the trigger to pull it up tight
Why he didn’t shoot, well, we’ll never know
Or was it the bells from the village below.
Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ringing through the land
Bringing peace to all the world
And good will to man
The Baron made Snoopy fly to the Rhine
And forced him to land behind the enemy lines
Snoopy was certain that this was the end
When the Baron cried out, “Merry Christmas, my friend!”
The Baron then offered a holiday toast
And Snoopy, our hero, saluted his host
And then with a roar they were both on their way
Each knowing they’d meet on some other day.
Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ringing through the land
Bringing peace to all the world
And good will to man

On Saturday we went to the beach to see my Great Gran because she has been lonely since my Great Grandad Passed away. We left at about 10:30 In the morning and traveled straight over to the Mount. Going through the bypass we got there in time to spare before lunch. We sat down and watched TV as we weren’t allowed to go to the beach as we were having lunch soon. We then played speed for a while and Go Fish. After that it was lunch time. Mum had brought some food from the hot bread shop and so we had yummy rolls, pizza bread and slices for lunch then mum and Gran caught up for a bit while we played cards. It was a very rainy day and we couldn’t go down to the beach so after our food had settled we went down to the hot pools.
It was great fun. First we went into the slightly warm pool and swam around for a bit but found it too cold so we then went into the hotter pool. It was nice and I went under one of the showers which was very refreshing then we climbed into the slide pool and slide down the slide. We all had lot’s of fun and also got lot’s of bruises. Sadly though it was soon time to go so we went down the slide one more time and hoped out to go get dressed.
After the hotpools we then got to got ot the Copenhagen waffle shop and got a waffle each. Mine was delicious. Michelle my sister dropped hers on the ground so she had to go back into the store and get another one. After we had had our waffles and our swim we went back to Great Grans to say goodbye. So we hoped into the car and went back down the road to Great Grans and when we got there Granny was there. So the three girls stayed with Granny and the two boys went with mum. We all said goodbye to each other then hoped into the car and headed off to uncle Pauls where we were going for dinner.
Once at Paul’s we said hello to everyone and sat down to watch TV and talk. There was 10 people to cook dinner for and it took quite a long time so we sat and talked and ate some crackers with fancy cheese. After a while dinner was ready and it was delicious. We had roast potatoes, potato dish, peas, carrot’s, roast pork, broccoli and cheese sauce. It was delicious we had a great meal and then had lemon meringue for dessert with ice cream. It was very nice, but quite sour as well.
After dinner the kids went up stairs to watch the wizards of Waverly place the movie and the adults stayed downstairs to watch rugby we had an excellent time and after the rugby finished it was time to go home. We all crowded at the door and said goodbye then we went back to Great Grans.
The next day we went down to the beach it was a lovely sunny day with a slight breeze. We took down a beach ball and played around with it and kicked it and on the way home went down the beach and up to the park. At the park we had swing races and played on the seesaw and bars it was funny as. Then we went and climbed up a tree and Michelle got stuck then Granny had to help her down it was quite funny, but we didn’t laugh. On the way home we had to get some milk so Michelle, Kristen and I went down onto the beach and played and ran all the way down to the shop, but granny stayed on the road. At the shop we got ice creams and Granny got some milk then we carried on back to Great Grans. Once we got home it was only around ten so ew continued on playing and watched a little bit of TV. Then it was lunch time. We were all very hungry and ate two whole filled sandwiches each.
After lunch we watched the rest of wizards of Waverly place the movie then asked granny if we could go down to the beach and come back in time to watch netball. She said okay so we went straight down and played again. We played tiggy and made Kristen a mermaid tail and then walked down the beach and went to the park on the way back to Great Grans. it was very fun and refreshing and we were back just in time to watch netball.
After netball we had to go back home so we packed up our stuff said goodbye and then went on home. We stopped on the way to get some Subway ad then went right on the journey. We had a great time at the beach and are excited to go there again.

On the 14th of June we all gathered together at 5:30am at the Te Awamutu Rose Gardens for our fist Rep tournament in Auckland. We were all ready when we got to the rose gardens and boarded the bus straight away. It was going to be a long trip and everyone was tired. We started off on our journey. About a quarter of the way throgh the trip everyone suddenly started talking. I was sitting at the back of the bus by Lacey with the under 15 rep team. We were the last team to get on the bus so we had to sit wherever. Suddenly it went quiet as we were all still tired and in a minute or two I fell asleep. By this time we were already in Auckland and were cruising across the harbour bridge. In a few seconds we were at the north harbour netball stadium and boy was it big.
We went and put our bags down in a foyer area then we started to warm up our first game was at ten o’clock and we were still stiff and un balanced from the bus ride. After a while of warming up we went to watch the under 17′s game. They played really well and at half time were up 8-4. Now it was time for us to warm up for our game we went back to our bag area and put on our skirts then started warming up. In about ten minutes we were on the court playing. I was on first half in the WA position. We didn’t play very well and we fumbled alot. Soon though the first quarter was over. I was off on the second quarter and we ended up losing 22-3. We all walked back to our bags and had a team talk and som food to boost our energy. Our next game was at 11:00 so we had some time to ourselves before we had to meet up again. I went to watch the under 17′s and then came back to warm up. Our next game was against Howick. We walked onto the court and stood in our positions I was playing WA Again. This game we didn’t play very well at all. We fumbled pretty much every pass and at the end of the first half we were down. I went off for the second half and in the end we lost 26-18. This was a terrible game for us and we walked back to our bags not very happy.
Now it was time for the lunch break. We all sat down and ate our lunch then we went and watched the under 15′s play again and the year 7′s. It was fun watching the year seven and very interesting watching the under 15′s.
Then we went to warm up for our last game. Soon the whistle was blown and we were off. With them scoring the first goal at half time we were down 6-0, but were ready to fight back. The second half began. We were all on our toes and were ready to win. We fought hard and in the end we finished up with a draw at the end. The ref hadn’t blown her whistle yet and the other team were yelling step in. We then realised that it was a draw and unfortunately their shooter got the goal in. In the end we lost all of our games and we went and hopped back on the bus to go home.

Yay! We are now doing food technology for tech arts. If you didn’t know our school has a Technology building for all of the students and teachers to enjoy doing their tech arts in. There is science, food, hard materials, soft materials, art and music. We go to these places twice a week for one block and learn about different things. For example if you are in food, you learn how to cook hot food, deserts, Sweets and even bread. At the moment I am a year eight and I am cooking food like Paraoa bread, Beef Roll ups, Dutch Apple Cake and Scalloped Potatoes. Today is our second lesson and we get to make a 1 star food. What I mean by 1 star is Mrs Dixon our food teacher gives us out a page with all the things you can make on it. You then get to choose some things you would like to make. She has put stars at the end of the names of food so we can know which recipes are easy and hard. For example Scallopped potatoes is a 1 star recipe and Dutch Apple Cake is a 3 star recipe. Once you have made your food Mrs Dixon then marks it. We have 11 lessons in each tech room and in food on the 7-11th lessons you get to choose some recipes to make for a cafe. You can choose any recipe you want and then you make a cafe and invite your family and friends to enjoy the food you made for them. Here are a few pictures of our new technology block. Enjoy!

On Sunday the 17th of May, I was down at the court at 9:30am ready to trial for the year eight rep netball team. I went down to the courts to do a few hoops and get warmed up. while I was putting up hoops I was reminding myself that if I didn’t get in there was always next year.
Soon people were crowding into lines for their numbers. When I got in front of the year eight line Mrs. Parrot put number 15 on my leg and arm. Once everyone had their numbers we all went down onto the court we were meant to be on and started passing a ball around.
In a few minutes the selectors came down and told us to go for a run up and down the court a few times to get warmed up. After a bout six full lenghts of the court we then started warming up our hands. We started off with truck and trailer then went on to egg beater and cut the cabbage.
Finally the selectors called us over to start the games. I wasn’t on the first game and sat on the side line with Kendal. Suddenly the selectors were calling out the numbers of the second teams to go on court. This time I was on in the WA position.
The ref blew the whistle and the game started. We were off like lightning. I was hot on my toes and driving all the time. I was easily the shortest player on the court and I knew I had to work hard. The whistle blew a long blast and we went down to have a drink. In a few minutes my number was called out again and I was on the court again in the WA position.
The starting whistle blew once more and we were off again. I had Georgea as a partner and it was a tough game. I had to push my way through players and drive alot harder but in the end I was pretty happy with how I did.
We all went to get another drink while the selectors were sorting out the team. Finally the selectors called us over to announce the team. They said it was really hard and that we were all good players and congratulations to the people who made it and there’s always next year to the people who didn’t. Then they started calling out the numbers.
13, 14, and a big pause,15. I was erupting with happiness. I hardly listened to the rest of the numbers. I was just happy I had made it in. Afterwards the coach(my mum) came over talk to us.
She said we had all played very well and that it was a privilege to get into this team. She said all of the selectors had to decide who was in and who was out and no-one got in that even one of the selectors didn’t like. In the end I was overjoyed at getting in and was thrilled when I heard my sister got in as well. At the end of the day I was happy with everything!!

At 7:50am on Monday morning I was dropped off at school for our annual Totara Springs Band Camp. Once everyone had arrived and we had finished packing the bags into the trail or and one of the buses we assembled in the ALC and were asked to sit in our cabin lines.
Finally the second bus came. Once the rest of the luggage was packed we were finally aloud to board the bus. In a few minutes we were on the road travelling to TotaraSprings Band Camp. It was a long trip but we never ran out of things to talk about. The year sevens were jumping with joy and the year eights were just as excited.
Suddenly the bus was pulling into the camp and everyone was jumping off. We unpacked the buses and trailers and got told our cabin numbers. We were so excited we were pushing each other out of the way to get to our cabins. Once we had chosen what bed we wanted and had got settled in we had a meeting in the dinning room.
At the meeting Jen(our instructor) stated the rules and then we went back to our cabins. We then got called to watch a photo story on safety. It stated where we were aloud and where we had to have instructors or adults.
Next the senior band went into the lecture feature and the junior band went into the auditorium to practise. After the first practise we then had a break and got to do some fun activities. Next we were back in the lecture theatre for another practise. We were playing all the pieces we were going to play. We rehearsed Mozart’s 40th alot and in the end were ready for a break when it was time for afternoon tea.
After afternoon tea we went back and practised some more until just before dinner. That night we had lasagna for dinner and it was sort of nice. After dinner we went back into the lecture theatre for on last practise before going to the room beside the lecture theatre for combined singing.
After singing we went into the pool and went to bed. The next day it was alot of rehearsals and not alot of breaks. It was really cool and we were getting really good at a few of our songs. We had a two hour lunch break then went back to rehearsing again. After Afternoon tea we went to the auditorium and set up for our concert. We then had a dress rehearsal and got some free time.
Finally it was time for the concert. I was outside along with alot of other people playing a game on the court. Visitors were turning up every where and assembling together in the auditorium. Everyone was excited and were jumping around where ever we were. Finally we got called to the dinig hall to tune up. I was one of the first to be tuned, so I didn’t have a long wait. Everyone was so overjoyed that they kept playing when Mr.Stanbridge was trying to tune and were getting yelled at by the teachers. In the end we were in straight lines heading over to the Auditorium.
Once settled Mrs German introduces us and the whole evening got underway. The Senior band played first followed by the junior band and choir. We played the pieces March Majestic, Fun, Fun, Fun, Mozart’s 40th, Surfin USA, Paso Flamenco, Rockin Robin, Breakin Out, At The Hop and The Nutcracker. During our performances we had the drum team from college to play for us and the brass band. They were very entertaining and in the brass band they even had a person dressing up and dancing to their songs. We also had our Te Awamutu Intermediate Jazz band play The Blues Is Loose. It was a great evening and everyone really enjoyed it.
The next day was the last day of our camp. We had breakfast packed our bags then went off to do some activities. Matamata Intermediate was first on the hydro slide so we had the other activities first. I put my name down for the flying fox so while I headed off to that the others could go on the playground, do archery, shot slug guns or just hang out. The flying fox was great and we all went down at least 2 times each.
Next up was the hydro slide. I went down it with Mya, Meghan and Hayley. It was great fun but sadly in the end we had to get off it. Once we were back into our clothes. We then packed up and had lunch. It was a great camp and we had an awesome time but unfortunately we had to go. After lunch we boarded the bus and went back to school. It was really fun!!

Yes finally the start of a new season of netball. Last Saturday the netball season for the competition level kicked off at around 9:25. Our game didn’t start until 10.40. We had already got a team sorted and had had some practises already. At 10.40 we were on the court waiting for the whistle. Our oppositions the perky Nana’s. Once our game was underway we were having Lot’s of fun. It was hilarious. We in the end won 30-0 and it was a great fun game. Next up we were facing TAC Ocks. This was a much harder game and in the end we lost 16-9. This was the end of our first week of netball. On our second week of netball. We started off by facing Marist Green. It was a pretty hard game and we lost 25-26. In the end I think we had a good start to the season.

On Friday the 17th of April Hayley, Megan, Hannah and I were gathered at her house for her Birthday party. Once at her house we played around until 5:30. Then we took Norm her dog out for a walk. It was really cool and on the way back to her house we ran around the BMX track. Once home we had dinner and desert. It was delicious. We had a fondu and chocolate cake for desert then got ready for bed. At first we were talking and giving each other manicures. Then we were ready to go to sleep. I was asleep first and that wasn’t the greatest thing. Suddenly I was wide awake and there was a big dilemma. Soon after the disaster had been worked out we finally got to sleep. In the morning we were up at 7:15 an were getting ready for the day ahead we got called down for breakfast at 8:30 – 9:00 but didn’t end up leaving until around 10:00. We were going to Auckland. Once in Auckland it was around 12:00. We had some lunch then looked around the Mall and bought a necklace each then went to a place called sweet land and brought some lollies. Then met Megan’s mum and went over to the Paradise Skating place. It was cooler than ice blocks. We went in most of the games and Megan won spin the bottle. We had a blast and everyone didn’t want to leave. One the way home we went to sleep. Once back at Megan’s house we packed our stuff ready to go home. It was the BEST!

It was 8:00 on Sunday morning and we were all standing outside our classroom waiting to get on the bus for our trip down to Wellington. The luggage was being packed and everyone was jumping around excitedly. Soon we jumped on the bus and were off. Everyone was talking at the start of the trip and looking out of the windows. I looked out the window we were in Te Kuiti, that’s when our I-pods came out and we started listening to music. Everybody was singing and soon got bored of that too. But we were only half way there so we started talking again. Soon we were at the War Museum and looking round it was very interesting and we were all quite fascinated at all the exhibits they had. We had lot’s of fun we then had lunch by the Museum. It was very windy. After lunch we boarded the bus again and headed off, this time to Wellington. After a while we were traveling past the sea. It was like no-one had ever seen the sea before everyone rushed over to look at the sea and there was a small hush in the bus. After lot’s more traveling at last we reached the camp everyone yelled yeah we’re here where I was sitting, then we all spilled off the bus. We grabbed our bag’s and hurried to our cabins to see what they looked like. Everyone unpacked what they needed for the night then went off to jump on the bouncy pillow we were playing on the pillow until we had to go to dinner and the showers. It was an exhausting day and everyone was quite tired but we didn’t go to sleep straight away.
Day one
On the first day of our camp we went to the kairori Wild Life Sanctuary. When we got there we were early. Some of us hopped off the bus and took lot’s of pictures of the bush and things around us then went back to the bus. We waited for the Instructor. After a while we were in the actual Sanctuary and were learning about the animals and history of the Sanctuary. While we were there we walked over most of the Sanctuary and saw a Karaka, two Tuatara’s, one boy and one girl and listened to bird calls. We also were there when one of the official Wild Life People let go a baby karaka and he told us some things about what he does and why they put the rings on them. While he was talking one of the karaka’s was on the feeding dish and eating some food we tried to take a picture and it flew up into the trees. We had lot’s of fun at the Sanctuary and learnt alot, but we had to get going so we boarded the bus again and headed off to the famous Weta Cave. When we got there one of our groups went into see a movie and the rest of us looked around the shop. It was amazing everything we saw actually looked real and we knew most of the characters we saw from the films that they are from. After a while the other group came out and we got to see the film it was all about how they worked and all the stations in the workshop it was quite interesting and I learnt alot. After that we jumped back on the bus to go have lunch and visit Te Papa. I had never been to Te Papa and it was amazing. My group spent ages on the first floor and sort of swept through the others. It was amazing the things we saw there was the Giant Squid and another part where you took your photo and could put it on your screen and make it do things like bounce. My favourite parts were the Giant Squid, the hologram of the people on the boat and the magic screens. Te Papa was great, but we couldn’t stay there forever so we soon had to leave to the next awesome place. It was the capital E building where we got to make a cool TV show and a Funky Video clip with your own song. On this particular day I was going to the ONTV program with my group. I was the presenter and when we got down there I got to put on a costume and sit on the stage. It was great fun and after a while we were up to our final show. The whole thing stated up.” Silence in the studio, starting count down 5 4321 , then it all started and it was all go from there. I think the show was great and after we had finnished filming we got to watch it. It was really funny and everyone laughed and had fun then it was time to get back to camp and go to bed.
This is me and Jake on ONTV.
Day Two
On day two we all woke up early and left for the Ferry to Picton. Once on the ferry we put our bags down and explored the ship. It took three and a half hours to get to Picton, but it was a good trip. I was out the top of the boat most of the time and the wind got very strong. At one point we were nearly blown over. We went past the Marlborough’s Sounds and it was beautiful. Once at Picton we walked around and had lunch there after about two hours in Picton we all gathered back at the Ferry Terminal to board and go back to wellington. It was really fun on the way back to Camp and it took no time at all. Once back at Camp we all went on the Jumping Pillow and also chilled out in our cabins the Ferry was great and one of my favourites of our whole camp.
On the Ferry going to Picton.
Day Three
On the third day of camp we headed off in morning to the Westpac Stadium. It was marvelous. Our group firstly went up top and looked out on the feild. We talked about what the seats cost and other important stuff about the Stadium. Next we got lead downstairs to look at the changing rooms and the actual Stadium. It was really interesting and cold at the same time. sadly we had to leave the Stadium and board the bus where it was nice and warm. Next stop was the Cathedral and Parliament. At the Cathedral we were shown around the Cathedral and a smaller room and the halls. We saw alot of interesting stuff and the stain glass windows were great. For the second part of our tour we went up into the bell tower where they had 15 bells. it was amazing, a long climb up stairs, but you could go into every part of the bell tower even where you see the proper bells. After that we went to the Dead Flag room where it had all these flags and the ritual was that the would stay there until they decayed into nothing. There was tonnes of flags in this room and even Sir Edmond Hilary’s flag. When we went back down to the Cathedral room we said Thank You for the tour and walked across the road to Parliament where we ate lunch. The we went inside and got a guided tour around Parliament. Firstly though we went into a room and put our bags down. We then got told things about Parliament and Mr Shane Ardern came to talk to us. We got to ask questions about John Key and his work then he had to go to get ready to go into the debating room. After we talked to him we went to the debating room as well and saw John Key and Helen Clark. We were also in there when John Key was congratulating Helen Clark and saw a standing ovation. After that we finished and headed off to the cable carts to go up and see the view of Wellington. Next up was the new Dowse it was magnificent everything in there was sooooo cool. There was tonnes of exhibitions and it was awesome I really like the Cinderella and Maui exhibition and the Plastic Moari one as well. Then we went to the pool and had alot of fun finally we were going back to camp and feel asleep easily that night.
Day Four
On the last day of our camp we went to the National Museum first thing in the morning then to the Wahine Disaster Museum. The Wahine was quite scary ,but we learnt a heap we saw where the boat sunk and other stuff like that it was really interesting and cool. Next up was the Wellington Zoo.It was awesome we got to see Tahi the one legged Kiwi and lot’s of other great animals. We also saw the chimps put on a real show it was really funny. After the Zoo we went back to Capital E for our sound house. It was great I loved my music and my video wasn’t that bad. After Capital E we went back to the camp for our last night everyone couldn’t get to sleep, but finally did in the end.
Going Home
On the last day of camp we got up early, packed the bus and left, it was a great camp and once we got home we were really tired, but also glad to be home! My favourite parts of camp were Te Papa, Capital E, the Ferry to and from Picton, The Dowse Art Gallery and the Wahine Disaster. Our Wellington camp was the best!!!
